New Music: The Blueprint 3 Is Coming

Kanye West finished off his Glow In The Dark Tour last night at New York’s Madison Square Garden by inviting Jay-Z on stage to preview Ye’s fresh new beat for The Blueprint III known only as Jockin’ . The Blueprint and The Blueprint 2 were my favourite albums released in their respective years so I have high hopes for number 3. The album is to be produced on the most part by Timbaland. Expect a release around November seeing as it’s when Jigga always releases an album. Watch the clip of last night’s performance after the break.

I’m hoping the lyrics were freestyled because the dig at Noel Gallagher seems unnecessary. He rapped “That bloke from Oasis said I couldn’t play guitar/Somebody should have told him I’m a fuckin’ rock star”. Noel Gallagher played down any feud. “I wasn’t saying I was better than Jay-Z as a person or rock was greater than hip-hop,” he said. “I said what I said, and it was wrong, or it was taken wrong, and now all this [media furore].” Gallagher also claimed that Jay-Z liked ‘Wonderwall’, despite his mock version, and claimed ‘Wonderwall’ is always the last song of the night at the star’s restaurant in New York. He added: “I’ll have a beer with him one day and it will be fine.”

I don’t like Jay’s new showman swagger as if he doesn’t need to make the effort. The Run D.M.C. style beat is awesome though. I should know- I’m a blogger. [via the Kanye West blog]
