“Anonymity Is The Truest Expression Of Altruism”

Quote by Eric Gibson. Above: An anonymous blogger showing very poor posture.

Award-winning blogger and national DJ on the side, Rick O’Shea*, unveiled his latest blogging project today called “The Life Of Others“. In his own words it’s “a unique group blog project. In order to allow the participants to post freely and anonymously on the most intimate subjects in their lives there is only one username that all have access to. Thus any of the posts could have been written by any of the anonymous participants.”

It’s almost exactly like Cheers: Making your way in the world today takes everything you’ve got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. Wouldn’t you like to get away? Except this time it’s where nobody knows your real name. Also, Woody Harrelson won’t be there. In fact, it’s not like Cheers at all.

I’m looking forward to reading, commenting and hopefully contributing to the site. I’ve never been one to divulge much personal information about myself on this site. Sure, I’d like to, but people expect regular top quality lego movies, sneering comments on celebrities I’m secretly jealous of and witty remarks on week-old pop culture news. I want a chance to show off my darker side a bit like… the Incredible Hulk. Except I won’t grow into a giant green guy with just a pair of pants on. Sorry, my comparisons are way off today.

*Little known fact: A Rick O’Shea biscuit is the kind of a biscuit you bounce off a wall and into your mouth. If it doesn’t bounce back… you go hungry! Bow, bow, bow…
